Local people are invited to get together to sow and grow together at our Big Green Sunday event on Sunday 4 March. Big Green Sundays are aimed at getting people more active and connected in order to make a real difference in their community.
Big Green Sunday will provide a range of interactive, educational, planet-friendly and family-friendly activities. The theme for this month’s Big Green Sunday is ‘sowing and growing’ and participants will be able to take part in the following:
- A craft Stitch Up session including knitting and bunting making for the community garden
- A healthy eating workshop
- A gardening and planting session in the Heart of Scotstoun Community Garden
- A sowing and growing themed poster writing workshop
- A healthy walk
- And a sowing and growing songwriting session (and performance!)
Big Green Sunday, which is free for all to attend with free refreshments provided as well, will take place from 1pm to 4pm on Sunday 4 March 2012 at the Heart of Scotstoun Community Centre, 64 Balmoral Street, Glasgow G14 0BL
Big Green Sundays are great. This is our third event and the first two have been really successful. We want to encourage people to do things together – learn, make, share and do. We are looking forward to another great day so please do come along, get involved and have a great Big Green Sunday!
We look forward to seeing you at the Big Green Sunday – all welcome!
