Do you live near Victoria Park? If so then why not pop along on Sunday and lend a hand to help clear up the park.

We will be running a community clean up of the park in partnership with Friends of Victoria Park (check out their great new website!) and Glasgow Community Safety Services.

The event is part of the National Spring Clean a 2 month long campaign aimed at getting people involved in community clean ups the length and breadth of Scotland.

There will be two clean ups happening – the first is from 11am to 1pm and the second is from 2pm to 4pm. We will be meeting at the toilets near the pond in the park. Please dress appropriately and don’t forget to bring something to drink and some sun tan lotion as it looks like the weather is going to be great! All equipment will be provided.

Also Friends of Victoria Park are also organising a celebration event in September for the 125th anniversary of the park opening. Read more here.
