Clean Up Scotland

Recently we went along to a presentation about the launch of the new Clean Up Scotland campaign, which is being coordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful

The new campaign builds on the success of the National Spring Clean, which this year saw 117,734 volunteers (75,856 children and 41,878 adults) take part between 1st April and 31st May and which resulted in 1165 tonnes of rubbish being collected.

The campaign, which will get underway in 2013 and will run until the end of 2014, aims to get 1,000,000 people involved in helping to Clean Up Scotland!

The campaign will highlight the issues that affect far too many Scots, such as litter, dog fouling, flytipping, flyposting, graffiti and abandoned cars and will engage people in activities ranging from signing a simple pledge to organising a clean-up in their local area. (See below for info on Clean Glasgow!)

We will be organising regular clean ups in the area and are very keen to work in partnership with others so if you want to help organise a clean up in your area then please get in touch. And please take a minute and sign the pledge:
