Partick Housing Association are recruiting for a part time Community Development Officer to PartickHA_Logosupport and supervise volunteers and service users as part of their Community Growing Space project.

Partick Community Growing Space is an exceptional community food growing space in the centre of an urban community. We are working with local residents and a wide range of partner organisations to engage the community of Partick in a practical and sustainable community space project that aims to increase health and well-being and significantly improve the local environment.

This role will co-ordinate and manage the growing space development and community capacity building.

The ideal candidate will be a creative and experienced community project officer, able to share their enthusiasm about local food growing. An understanding of how community-based organisations work and previous experience of working for, or participating in a community-based organisation is ideal. We are looking for someone who is able to co-ordinate, supervise and encourage a wide range of people of all backgrounds including disadvantaged groups/ individuals and/or children.
