Back in the Autumn, we participated in the Ditch the Dirt campaign along with several other local organisations. The campaign focused on the issue of dog fouling across Scotland for two weeks from 30th September to 13th October 2013 as part of Keep Scotland Beautiful’s Clean Up Scotland campaign.GrabIt_poster

The campaign was coordinated by Keep Scotland Beautiful and they have recently published their campaign report and the key findings were:

  • Volunteers from 18 local authorities participated in surveys
  • 464 volunteers took part
  • 11200m of Scotland’s green space was surveyed
  • On average 5 incidences of dog fouling were recorded for every 100m of green space surveyed

A big thank you to everyone that participated in the campaign!

We will be hosting a follow up meeting at 3pm on Thursday 16 January – if you are interested in this issue then please come along!
