CAB_logoCitizens Advice Bureau are holding an event – Working Togther to Tackle Hardship – to look at ways that a range of organisations can work together more effectively to tackle hardship. The event will be held from 10am to 12.45pm on Monday 17 March, City Chambers, George Square, Glasgow.

Spiralling problem debt, increasing income inequalities and reducing public expenditure (especially in welfare) are combining to create a perfect storm driving more families and people into hardship. There has never been a more important time for organisations in all sectors to combine their efforts in order to give the best possible support to people and families in hardship and to make it easier for them to connect to available services.

This conference, organised by the Citizens Advice Bureaux in Glasgow, is an opportunity for decision makers, managers and frontline staff to hear what is happening now to alleviate hardship and what steps could be taken in the future to build a social security system that prevents hardship and poverty.

Attendance is free thanks to the support of Big Lottery Scotland and Glasgow City Council. To book your place please email norriemurray@mapcab.casonline.org.uk
