Volunteers NeededAs part of Volunteers’ Week we will be holding a ‘Volunteer Conservation’ from 3pm to 7pm on Wednesday 4 June where you can pop along to our office and have a cuppa and a chat with our staff about volunteering opportunities that may be of interest to you in your local community.

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK – and it’s taking place from the Sunday 1 to Saturday 7 June 2014. We will aso be running other activities during the week so keep you eyes peeled for more information!

Volunteer-pictureThere are lots of people who have never considered volunteering before or who are unaware of the range of opportunities that are available. For others it could be that they have considered volunteering but are unsure of what they could contribute or where to go to find out more. If you fall into either of these categories then come along to the Volunteer Conversation’ and a volunteer advisor will be able to give you more information.

VolunteersWeek2014Volunteering brings a wealth of benefits to individuals and the wider community, including meeting people and gaining skills and experience, many of which can be included on job applications & CV’s.   Ultimately volunteering can make a major contribution to all involved and volunteering with DRCET will allow you to Get Active, Get Involved and Make a Difference!

Whether you can commit to volunteering weekly, monthly or even on a one off basis – there are opportunities available to you. So why not pop down and say hello!
