drcet logo1We are delighted to welcome Joanna Quinn to the DRCET Team. Joanna has joined us as the part time Volunteer Development Officer for our new Glasgow WAVE (West Area Volunteer Experience) project. We recently caught up with her to see what she’s up to…

“Hello, I am Joanna the Volunteer Development Officer for Glasgow WAVE Project.”

“My work will involve the development and promotion of volunteering opportunities, identifying and sharing area of good practice between organisation, obtaining the Volunteer Friendly Award, recognising and accrediting volunteers.”

“There is a wealth of volunteering opportunities out there and I am most looking forward to encouraging local people to get involved in volunteering in their local community.”

“One of the first areas of work I am involved in is the Volunteer Conversation event that is taking place on Wednesday 4 June where you can pop along to our office and have a cuppa and a chat with our staff about volunteering opportunities that may be of interest to you in your local community.”

The Glasgow WAVE (West Area Volunteer Experience) Project is a partnership between Dumbarton Road Corridor Environment trust, LINKES SCIO and the Whiteinch Centre funded by the Voluntary Action Fund.
