GlasgowParks.jpgMyParkScotland is a new project that will help people discover and support their local parks. It’s a direct response to the funding challenges facing Scotland’s parks and the impact this is already having on how people are able to use and enjoy their local parks.

MyParkScotland is being developed by greenspace scotland with funding from the Rethinking Parks programme. We want to encourage people to discover and enjoy parks and inspire communities to get involved in improving and supporting their local park. Working initially in Edinburgh and Glasgow, our idea is to create an online ‘hub’ that gives you up-to-date information about what’s happening in your local park, develops a ‘parks community’, and has a giving section that enables people to set up projects to improve their park and encourages supporters to donate.

greenspace scotland are just at the beginning of this exciting project and would really value your help in answering a few questions about how you use parks now and how you might want to use them in the future. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. Please feel free to skip any questions that are not relevant or you would prefer not to answer. Please feel free to forward this email to other colleagues or friends who might be interested in completing the survey.
