choosetoreuseweekcta-390x238The first ever Choose To Reuse Week kicks off on Monday 24 November and as a CRNS member we are getting involved!

So what will we be up to? Well in addition to our normal reused bikes beings available from the De’ils On Wheels workshop, we will be along at the Whiteinch Christmas Craft fayre on Saturday 29 November and the Heart of Scotstoun Xmas fayre on Saturday 6 December with a selection of our bikes, some fantastic clocks made from unwanted bike parts, a few vinyl bowls made from old records and some tasty Xmas cards!

We are also selling Choose To Reuse raffle tickets – £1 per ticket – get yours before they are gone!

Choose To Reuse Week is an annual event (24-30 November) organised by the Community Resources Network Scotland (CRNS) aimed at raising awareness of reuse, repair and recycling and getting people into the habit of donating anything they no longer need to reuse organisations – just in time for Christmas.

Throughout the week, the CRNS will be encouraging as many people as possible across Scotland to reuse, repair and recycle – so it’s a great chance for us all to support our commitment to create a greener nation. The aim is to persuade people to de-clutter their house, donate instead of dumping, and realise that reuse, repair and recycling has all sorts of benefits to the environment and to society. Above all, we want the week to be fun and a celebration of everything related to reuse, repair and recycling.

Join in today and you could help make it a bumper week. You can help spread the word by visiting the Choose To Reuse website And don’t forget to pop by the workshop or The Whiteinch Centre!
