WHMalcolm_SouthSt_Flyer_24Feb15WH Malcolm and planning consultancy Barton Willmore are hosting a public consultation event to discuss the emerging planning proposals for alteration and diversification of the existing WH Malcolm waste recycling facility on South Street in Whiteinch to accommodate an Energy Recovery Facility.

Update Thu 12 Feb 15 – WH Malcolm have confirmed that there will be another public consultation event which will be held on Tuesday 24 February from 2pm to 8pm at The Whiteinch Centre. Update Dec 14: at the public consultation event on Wednesday 3 December 2014 there were 5 information banners explaining the context of the application and the technical process. There was also an example of the refuse derived fuel that will be produced on site as feedstock for the gasification units. These can be seen in the photos at the end of the article. public-con-1This will be a walk-in event where members of the local community and businesses can come in during the day to see exhibition banners detailing key elements of the emerging proposal, speak to members of WH Malcolm and their project team and provide their thoughts and feedback to inform development of the proposals to a planning application stage in the future.
