VictoriaParkBlaisePitchesFollowing the recent public meeting about the future of the blaes pitches in Victoria Park the Council is undertaking a consultation on the future of the pitches.

The purpose of the consultation is to consider ways to facilitate positive use of the area of the Park, currently laid out as red blaes football pitches, and provide community benefit.

There are three proposals included in the consultation:

The consultation is running until Friday 27 February and can be accessed via the Council’s consultation hub (see note at end). UPDATE: The deadline for submitting responses has been extended until Friday 13 March 2015

Once you have had your say, please pass this email along to other park users and ask them to participate as well. It’s important that the local community decides how the park is to be used. The more people who have the opportunity to comment in this consultation, the better.

The Council would like to gather your views and opinions for the future use of the red blaes pitches in Victoria Park. There are currently three proposals (details included in the supporting documents) and they would like to hear your views about each of them and any further ideas you may have. Two proposals were received through an earlier marketing exercise and a third proposal has been received since then.

The information the Council gather from this survey, along with previous engagement work, will be used to inform a proposal to be put forward to the council’s Executive Committee. The information gathered will only be used for the purposes of this exercise.
