The West Glasgow Green Gym has scooped the best community clean up award at this years Evening Times Streets Ahead Awards. The awards ceremony took place at the Winter Gardens on Glasgow Green on a glorious summers evening on Thursday 11 June.

West Glasgow Green Gym, who clean up local eyesores while getting fit at the same time, won. Organiser Wendy Cameron said: “We’re incredibly proud of our volunteers who work so hard and we are delighted to have won tonight.”

This is a really well deserved award and recognises all the hard work and commitment that the dedicated team of volunteers have put in over the past few years to making the west of Glasgow a better place to live.
