GreenGym_02The West Glasgow Green Gym, an award winning project run by Drumchapel LIFE, will start again on Wednesday 2 September after a break over the summer. The group meets every Wednesday from 11am to 2pm to undertake outdoor improvement activities in a range of locations across west Glasgow.

They are looking for people to join in and help look after local green spaces. There will be plenty of different tasks to do including vegetation clearance, woodland maintenance and gardening tasks. So if you enjoy the great outdoors then come and join in.

Some of the dates and locations in September are:

  • Wed 2 Sep – Phoenix Centre, Monymusk Place, Drumchapel
  • Wed 9 Sep – Cycle Path, Ardsloy Place, Scotstoun
  • Wed 23 Sep – Cycle Path, Beith Street, Partick
  • Wed 30 Sep – Nature trail, Westland Drive, Jordanhill

If you want to find out more about the Green Gym please contact Margaret Steven at Drumchapel LIFE on 0141 944 6004.

GreenGymLogoThe Green Gym is an all-voluntary gardening group and our aim is to offer healthy exercise and outdoor companionship for the people of Drumchapel, Knightswood, Scotstoun and the wider West Glasgow area.

Members have the opportunity to learn new skills and become part of a friendly group of people of different abilities, with an interest in gardening and conservation.
