20150819_DRCGen_AwardDRC Generations were recently award the Queens Award for Voluntary Service by the Lord Provost at a civic reception hosted at the City Chambers and we were invited along to help them celebrate.

There was a great turnout on the night and it was a fitting way to celebrate the achievements DRC Generations have made over the years, in particular with their award winning peer education and mentoring programme. Congratulations to everyone involved – you can check out some of our pictures below!

The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise outstanding work done in their own communities. It was created in 2002 to celebrate the anniversary of the Queen’s coronation. It is the MBE for volunteer groups.
