GreenGymLogoThe West Glasgow Green Gym will be holding sessions every Wednesday in June. The Green Gym, which is run by Drumchapel LIFE, is about healthy people and healthy places where volunteers meet up once a week – on Wednesday’s between 11am-2pm – to work together on improving local green spaces around West Glasgow.

The dates and locations for June are:

  • Wed 1 Jun – Drummore Primary School, Drumchapel – tidying up the school garden after 2 years of school refurbishment!
  • Wed 8 Jun – St Ninian’s Primary School, Knightswood – helping the children’s eco-committee tidy the school grounds
  • Wed 15 Jun – Kelvin Walkway, Kelvindale Rd to Maryhill Locks section of Route 754 – Joint workday with Sustrans. Cutting back vegetation along the path and litterpicking where necessary. Meet at cycle path access point on Kelvindale Rd, just passed St Gregory’s Church (130 Kelvindale Rd, G20 8DP)
  • Wed 22 Jun – Kingsway Court community garden – continuing to prepare the slope for sowing of wildflower seed. Meet at Kingsway Court Health and Wellbeing Centre, Block 50 Scotstoun, G14 9SR  (at the top of Danes Dr)
  • Wed 29 Jun – Nature Trail Woodland Walk, Jordanhill – Joint workday with Sustrans. litterpicking along the path and continuing to clear undergrowth. Meet at entrance to Nature Walk, by the milepost on Westland Dr, just by Westbrae Bridge, G14 9JQ
