YokerBridgeGlasgow & Clyde Valley City Deal is proposing a new opening bridge across River Clyde in the Yoker area. The £78m Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside Project aims to significantly enhance connectivity and economic development opportunities for existing and new businesses in the City Region. It will also create new opportunities at key development sites along both sides of the River Clyde.

The new opening bridge across the river for cars, public transport, cyclists and pedestrians will give currently disengaged communities and businesses better access to jobs, customers, services, facilities and amenities.

CityDeal_Crossings_Appendix1There are three possible locations for the bridge. These options will each be assessed and refined in an appraisal process to establish the most appropriate and cost effective option. During the options appraisal process, the views of stakeholders and the general public will contribute to, and comment on the various options.

There will be a public exhibition providing an overview of the Clyde Waterfront and Renfrew Riverside Project from 10am – 7pm on Tuesday 21 June 2016 in Yoker Community Campus. There will also be an event in Clydebank on Thursday 16th June.
