Stage one of the 2016 Tour of Britain will leave Glasgow on Sunday 4 September. The Tour of Britain is British Cycling’s premier road cycling event, offering the chance to see some of the biggest names in cycling go head-to-head during eight days of action from 4-11 September. The 2016 Grand Depart will see 20 elite teams roll out from George Square and do two laps of the closed route on Glasgow’s streets and then race more than 160km towards Castle Douglas.
