Hillhead_AirPollution_DemoThe ‘Campaigning for Clean Air Neighbourhoods’ training day will take place on Saturday 8 October. The event is being organised by Friends of the Earth Scotland, Friends of the Earth Glasgow, and We Walk, We Cycle, We Vote.

The ‘Campaigning for Clean Air Neighbourhoods’ training day is designed to support you to campaign for cleaner air, better walking and cycling facilities, and a healthier environment in your neighbourhood.

Air pollution continues to plague our towns and cities in Scotland, but next year’s local elections provide an opportunity to focus our councillors’ hearts and minds on delivering clean air. A newly published study reveals that toxic nanoparticles from air pollution have been found in human brains in “abundant” quantities.

The event will take place at the Glasgow Quaker Meeting House 38 Elmbank Crescent, Glasgow G2 4PS from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 8 October. The event is free to attend and lunch will be provided but you need to reserve a place via http://foes.do/clean-air-neighbourhoods
