pop_success2The Play On Pedals project recently reached the end of their People’s Postcode Lottery funding and we were invited along to help them celebrate! Play On Pedals has been hugely successful and exceeded their target of engaging with 7,000 preschool children – final numbers were 7,148!!

As a local Super Hero organisation we have been supporting the Play On Pedals programme for over 2 years now and have supported local nurseries deliver Play On pedals, held a bike amnesty as well as delivering sessions at various community events and at Scotstoun Leisure Centre.

Play On Pedals will continue to deliver events (there are currently sessions taking place at Scotstoun Leisure Centre) and preschool cycling opportunities in Glasgow until the end of May. There are plans to continue beyond May as part of the new Glasgow Community Cycle Network.

The project partners would like to give a huge thanks to all the groups who, along with all the early years establishments, have made Play on Pedals so successful…

The project was funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery and was a partnership between Cycling UK, Cycling Scotland, Play Scotland and Glasgow Bike Station.
