The Galvanising Grassroots Guide on ‘How to get a new allotment site’ has just been published and was launched at the recent Annual Scottish Allotments Conference.

The publication contains 7 stories about the different ways that people have acquired a plot and signposts for how to make this happen. The publication can be downloaded from the Scottish Allotments and Gardens Society (SAGS) website.

There is a great opportunity at the moment to get new sites through the Community Empowerment Act and through the Food Growing Strategy but people need to act for themselves and this Guide will help with the case stories of the different ways this has happened.

There are also hard copies available for people who would benefit from this advice. If you think you would be interested please contact SAGS.
