SCIAF have launched a campaign for clean energy called Powering our common home.

Across Scotland, more than 5000 SCIAF supporters have shown their support for the campaign which calls on MSPs to make sure that Scotland’s energy policy is in line with the needs of the poorest communities overseas.

Climate change is already pushing many of the people SCIAF works with into poverty and time is running out to keep global warming below the dangerous tipping point of 1.5 degrees.

The Powering our common home campaign urges the Scottish Government to phase out fossil fuels from its energy mix; to ban any further onshore fossil fuel exploration and to support access to clean energy for people in developing countries.
