Living Streets Scotland is pleased to offer a free half-day Streets for Everyone workshop from 10am to 1pm on Wednesday 7 March 2018 at Many Studios, 3 Ross Street, Glasgow G1 5AR

The workshop is for people who would like to explore approaches to making streets inclusive and accessible for disabled people by involving local communities and is based on a recent collaboration between Living Streets Scotland, Perth and Kinross Council and the Centre for Inclusive Living Perth and Kinross.

A new case study (“Streets for Everyone”) describes this programme of community street audits over the past two years which aims to improve the walking environment for disabled people. The case study considers wider lessons for how to make ’streets for everyone’.

The workshop will be of interest to anyone wanting to promote more inclusive local streets including: people from community groups, access panels, local authorities, and partners from public health and other sectors. There will be opportunities to discuss participants’ specific objectives and learn from each other about the opportunities and challenges likely to be encountered.

You can book a place via Eventbrite.
