Have your say! Glasgow City Council is undertaking a consultation of the Governance arrangements for Community Councils including a review of certain Community Council boundaries and a review of support arrangements. The closing date for submitting responses is Friday 4 May 2018.

Glasgow City Council proposes to amend its current Scheme for the Establishment of Community Councils (2013) as agreed at a meeting of the Council’s Wellbeing, Empowerment, Community and Citizen Engagement City Policy Committee, held on Thursday 25 January 2018.

Details of proposed changes to local community council boundaries are shown below.

Proposed changes to local community council boundaries

Whiteinch CC and Jordanhill CC – representation made from Jordanhill CC to include Victoria Park within its boundary (Victoria Park currently sits within Whiteinch CC boundary area). Amend the boundary between Jordanhill (South) and Whiteinch (North) to make Victoria Park a shared area of responsibility for all abutting Community Councils.

Broomhill CC and Thornwood CC – representation made from local residents to realign boundary between Broomhill (South) and Thornwood (North) to relocate local residents’ addresses within the Broomhill Community Council boundary area.

Whiteinch and Scotstoun CC – amend the boundary between Whiteinch (West) and Scotstoun (East) to better align the geographical boundary and realign to the Ward boundary.
