Glasgow City Council is developing a new vision for parks and greenspaces in Glasgow and they are holding an online consultation which will run until Friday 11 May.

The Council are keen to make sure the vision of what Glasgow’s parks and greenspaces may look like, and what roles they will perform in the future, comes from the communities that use and love these spaces. Please note that the consultation only covers sites that are owned or managed by Glasgow City Council.

Following a series of workshops with Friends of Parks Groups, Community Councils and Parks User Groups a report was published in January 2017 which identified the following issues:

  • Communication
  • Improved Parks Forum
  • Community Growing
  • Health & Wellbeing
  • Re-wilding
  • Activities and events

The Council are now consulting via the Council’s online consultation hub.
