scotrailThe Scotrail summer timetable is now in operation. Why not leave the car at home and take in the beautiful Scottish scenery from the train?

Step off the train and onto a bike – the perfect way to explore the city and countryside. You’ll find designated cycle spaces on many trains. For some journeys, you’ll need to reserve a space for your bike. Where you can’t book a spot, spaces are given on a first come first served basis.

Bike & Go is a flexible bike hire scheme available at 12 stations in Scotland. How does it work? You’ll need to register, and pay a £10 annual membership fee. Then it’s just a low daily hire rate of £3.80 a day. Pick up the bike at the station, and drop it back when you’re done.

The Kids Go Free ticket lets you travel on most services off-peak anywhere in Scotland with one or two children aged 5-15, for the same price as an adult ticket. In addition there’s a wide range of railcards and discounts available  including

  • Two Together railcard
  • Disabled Persons railcard
  • 16-25 railcard
  • Senior railcard
  • Highland railcard
  • Young Scot National Entitlement card.

All you need to do now is buy the ticket and go off and enjoy yourself!!
