The re-scheduled 2nd Annual Knightswood Park Family Fun Day will now take place from 12 to 4pm on Saturday 16 September at Knightswood Park.

There will be loads of stuff happening at the event including Knightswood model boat club, Play on Pedals, sports taster sessions, performances by local schools, face painting, birds of prey, bouncy castles and lots more too!

We will be along with our De’ils On Wheels cycle skills course as well so why not pop along for a great family day out!

Please spread the word and if using social media us #knightswoodfunday.

This year’s event has been organised by the Knightswood Park Family Day organising committee which is made up of local people from the community and the committee has been kindly hosted and supported by Knightswood Community Council. Unfortunately the organisers have had to cancel this event due to the weather forecast for strong winds and even stronger gusts which are well above acceptable limits for the safe use of inflatables (bouncy castles etc) and borderline acceptable limits for the safe use of open fronted marquees. It is hoped the event will be re-organised for later in the year.

chex-logoThe Community Health Exchange (CHEX) are holding their 2017 national conference – Power, inequality and community-led health – on Wednesday 1 March 2017 from 10:30am to 3:30pm at The Studio, 67 Hope Street Glasgow, G2 6AE

The event is aimed at community-led health organisations and public sector partners to attend our free annual conference. CHEX are offering community-led health organisation three places at the conference.  You could choose to use these for management committee, volunteers or staff.  You would also be welcome to offer a place to a public sector partner you work with.

The Centre is getting all set for their Christmas Fair on Saturday 10 December 2016 between 10am and 1pm.  And they are also very keen to offer new classes and activities in the Centre, especially on Saturdays, so if you have any ideas for classes or activities you would like to participate in they would love to hear from you.
