TCV are hosting a Go Wild In Your Garden event from 11am to 3pm on Sunday 20 March at the Knightswood Community Centre, 201 Alderman Road, Knightswood G13 3DD. There will be lots of activities and ideas all about making our gardens better for people and wildlife.

The event is free and you can take part in activities including planting wildflower seeds, bug hunts, making natural bird feeders to take home with you, build a planter and more!

DRCET will be along at the event with our pedal powered smoothies so why not pop down and say hello!

Everybody is welcome so tell all your friends!

The event is part of the Community Rewilding project run by TCV.

20140407_HoS_Mound_05Over the past week or so the view from our office window has changed dramatically. The garden team at Heart of Scotstoun having been working hard to find a solution to the mound of earth that has been on site since the community centre was completed. And last week they found their solution. The soil has now been taken off site by Robertson’s to form part of the Cuningar Loop garden which is being developed as part of the Commonwealth Games.

This has been a win-win all round and means we now have a much nicer and brighter view from our office! And it is also a big step forward for Heart of Scotstoun for the development of their Back Green.
