FortuneWorksLogoFortune Works are holding their Garden Centre Open Day from 12pm till 4pm on Saturday 2 June 2018 and everyone is invited. The event will take place at the Garden Centre, 195 Drumry Rd E, Glasgow G15 8NS

Fortune Works is a social enterprise which provides meaningful opportunities for people with a learning disability within Glasgow and the surrounding areas. The service combines accessible social and enterprising activities and offers individualised support for people to make a positive contribution to their Community.

The open day will involve various fun activities for kids, whilst you will also have the opportunity to purchase hand crafted goods from both the Garden Centre and our fully stocked Craft Shop.  There will be a wide range of plants for sale and you can bring along your own pots/planters/baskets for filling.

They look forward to seeing you there, please invite as many friends or people you may think would enjoy this free event. There will be refreshments on the day too.

Fortune Works has been successful in securing funding for a brand new polytunnel and for two dedicated Garden Support Workers for their new ‘Growing to Respect’ project.

FoVP_garden-volunteerFriends of Victoria Park will be doing volunteer gardening sessions throughout August. The sessions will take place at 10.30am every Monday – 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st August. The meeting point is the rose beds by the pond.
