North West Glasgow Voluntary Sector Network is a progressive and forward thinking organisation which acts as a catalyst and a development forum for voluntary sector providers and community organisations in North West Glasgow. Our aim is to promote and enable effective information sharing, good communications and the exchange of ideas within the voluntary sector.  These advertised posts offer an exciting and challenging opportunity that will create real benefits for the successful applicants and to the local communities with which they will engage.

The Network is currently recruiting for the following positions, funded by Glasgow Community Planning Partnership:

  • Network Manager (28 hours), £32,505 pro-rata
  • Network Development Officer (20 hours), £27,300 pro-rata
  • Network Communication Officer (20 hours), £27,300 pro-rata

We are seeking to employ a capable and accomplished team to further develop and support the network membership, to be of assistance to its existing and new voluntary sector service providers, and to service the Executive Committee who are held accountable to its member organisations.

This post is funded initially to 31 March 2018 on a fixed term contract and then, subject to funding application, for a further fixed term of 3 years as the next stage of a continuing development programme.  The post is also subject to an Enhanced Disclosure check

Glasgow Wood Recycling is a social enterprise and charity established in 2006, committed to reducing the amount of wood waste needlessly going to landfill by finding creative ways to recycle and reuse this valuable natural resource. They are committed to tackling poverty and social exclusion by involving and training volunteers within this enterprising environment.

This is a key role within the organisation and you will need to have a woodworking or joinery background, be good with people and have high degree of flexibility in the role. They are looking for someone who is energetic, self-motivated, flexible and motivated by our aims and ambitions.

LINKES logo SmallLINKES is recruiting. This is an exciting opportunity to join the busy team at LINKES for a six month maternity cover post. This management role is part-time, 2 days a week, to oversee the smooth running of the project.

LINKES Community Group is working on the frontline of a rapidly changing Glasgow. In the small area it serves there are residents from many cultures and our workload reflects the diverse needs and strengths within the community. LINKES runs groups, events and activities for all local residents.

We are currently seeking a part time Admin Officer. We are looking for a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual to be part of our small team.  The position is 15 hours per week and the salary is £8.25 per hour, the Glasgow Living Wage, (£15,015 per annum pro rata). This post is funded through the Scottish Government’s Strengthening Communities programme up until 31 March 2017.

We are looking for someone to carry out, support and develop the office general administration systems and to provide admin support to staff, board and volunteers.

LINKES logo SmallLINKES are recruiting for a part-time Community Development Worker to join their small team and play a vital role in running this busy project. This job would suit a self-starter with a commitment to Community Development. The post is 28 hours a week at a salary of £26,230 pro-rata. The application deadline is Friday 22 May and interviews will take place on Thursday 4 June.

The role will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the project, dealing with enquiries, managing the weekly timetable of groups and activities, planning community events, supporting volunteers, developing new services, partnership working and various other tasks to ensure the smooth running of the project. It can be demanding so it will suit an innovative and creative candidate, who can function well under pressure and enjoy the rewards of overcoming challenges.

WAVE_Volunteer_MapWe are currently seeking maternity cover for our part time Volunteer Development Officer. We are looking for a dynamic, focused and motivated individual to be part of this innovative partnership project.  The position is 28 hours per week and the salary for the post is £23,452 pro rata. The deadline for applications is midday on Thursday 21 May 2015 and interviews will be held on Friday 29 May 2015.

This post is offered as part of the second phase of our Glasgow West Area Volunteer Experience (WAVE) project which which will develop volunteering within the partnership and across the west of Glasgow. The partnership is with LINKES (SCIO) and DRC Generations, and has been made possible with funding from the Voluntary Action Fund. The Glasgow WAVE project has funding up until 31 March 2016.
