The re-scheduled 2nd Annual Knightswood Park Family Fun Day will now take place from 12 to 4pm on Saturday 16 September at Knightswood Park.

There will be loads of stuff happening at the event including Knightswood model boat club, Play on Pedals, sports taster sessions, performances by local schools, face painting, birds of prey, bouncy castles and lots more too!

We will be along with our De’ils On Wheels cycle skills course as well so why not pop along for a great family day out!

This year’s event has been organised by the Knightswood Park Family Day organising committee which is made up of local people from the community and the committee has been kindly hosted and supported by Knightswood Community Council. The event is supported by Glasgow City Council and has been kindly funded by the Ward 13 Garscadden/Scotstounhill and Ward 14 Drumchapel/Anniesland area partnerships.

Unfortunately the organisers have had to cancel this event due to the weather forecast for strong winds and even stronger gusts which are well above acceptable limits for the safe use of inflatables (bouncy castles etc) and borderline acceptable limits for the safe use of open fronted marquees. It is hoped the event will be re-organised for later in the year.

KnightswoodFamilyDay_2015_cropThis years Knightswood Park Fun Day takes place on Saturday 5 September from midday to 4pm. The event is FREE to attend and there will be lots to see and do.

We will be along with our cycle skills course and Dr Bike will be checking over bikes. There will also be a chance for the really young kids to learn to ride with Play On Pedals.

The event will also see the official launch of our West Glasgow Pedallers We Go Pedal project! And there will be plenty of cycle parking available on the day as well.

This free fun day includes street theatre, drakes of hazard, music stage, bouncy castle, face painting, model boat club and much more. Come along and join in the fun, something to suit everyone.

This years Fun Day in Knightswood Park takes place this Saturday – 24 August – from midday to 4pm. ThIMG_20130809_120006e event is free to attend and there will be lots to see and do.

Activities include a music stage, kiddies rides, a bouncy castle, street theatre, a climbing wall and much, much more so please do pop along and enjoy a great day out!

The Knightswood Park Fun Day takes place this Saturday from midday until 4pm and it’s free!

We will be there with our cycle skills course and our pedal powered smoothies so please do pop along and say hello and have a go!

There will be lots of other activities including a bouncy castle, falconry, a climbing wall, zumba and a music stage!
