Unfortunately the organisers have had to cancel this event due to the weather forecast for strong winds and even stronger gusts which are well above acceptable limits for the safe use of inflatables (bouncy castles etc) and borderline acceptable limits for the safe use of open fronted marquees. It is hoped the event will be re-organised for later in the year.

Following the recent local government elections Glasgow City Council has updated their Ward factsheets for the 23 wards in the city. The useful 2 page factsheets provide a range of information on a ward-by-ward basis about:

  • population
  • households and housing
  • economy
  • information about elected members

The new factsheets for all wards across the city as well as a Glasgow wide factsheet are available on the Council website.

New bike racks have been installed at Knightswood Community Centre on Alderman Road. The racks are a welcome addition to the Centre and will make it easier for centre users who cycle to make full use of the facilities.

We have been working with the Community Centre and Glasgow City Council to get the racks installed as part of our Cycle Friendly Communities project.

The Community Centre, which is now run by the community through the Knightswood Community SCIO, offers a range of services and activities and also has a Cafe open 6 days a week.

Thanks to the team at Glasgow City Council for installing the racks.
