The Drumchapel Thriving Together Family Fun Event will take place from 12-5pm on Saturday 21 July at the Drumchapel Shopping Centre, 59 Kinfauns Dr, Glasgow G15 7TG The event is being organised by AFFIT.

There will be lots of different activities on offer including live music, face painting, arts and crafts, inflatables, holistic therapies, story telling, community information and lots more including our own pedal powered smoothies!!

AFFIT works as part of the North-West Recovery Communities (NWRC), and is committed to delivering a diverse calendar of alcohol free occasions at venues across the north west of Glasgow. AFFIT events are open and accessible to all the people of Glasgow, and are aimed at supporting those who want to improve outcomes for their community in relation to alcohol use.

OverTheWall2016This years “Over the Wall” summer, multi-arts festival will take place in the grounds of Gartnavel Royal Hospital, Glasgow on Saturday 27 August 2016 from 1pm to 5pm.

There will be a wide range of activities including community theatre, live music, information, art, live music and we will be along with our pedal powered smoothies so why not pop along and enjoy a great, family day out!

The Festival is part of the annual art in the gart programme; this programme is a collaboration between NHSGGC northwest mental health services and Third Sector organisations and artists to enable access seven days a week and out of hours to participation in meaningful activity which to support mental health recovery and wellbeing.

PartickHA_Winterfest2015As part of their 40th anniversary celebrations Partick Housing Association will be hosting their first ever Winterfest, which will take place from 4pm to 7pm on Thursday 10th December at Mansfield Park

We’ll be along with our pedal powered smoothie machine so why not come along with the whole family and join in the fun. The event will include:

  • Switching on of the Winterfest lights to illuminate the trees
  • Live music
  • Arts and crafts
  • Lots of family fun activities

This week we joined in the baton relay celebrations organised by LINKES at the Lincoln Avenue flats. It was a great day with lots of great activities including a climbing wall, face painting, music, and our own Dr Bike and pedal powered smoothies! Thanks for everyone that turned up and to LINKES for organising a great event! Check out the photos…

The Whiteinch Centre and WSHA will be holding a Women’s Day on Thursday 5 December 2013 as part of the 16 Days of Action Against Violence campaign.WhiteinchWomensDayClip
